Hong Kong
It was home from 2002 to 2022. We came just as SARs was breaking out. We left just as Corona Virus ended. We saw the best of Hongkong and perhaps its worst. But the best was far better than the lows of the worst. Packed with life’s memories. Two kids, friends, oodles of photographs
I first visited China in 2000 - with no mobile phone, and flashcards. Beijing Airport was an old building that resembled any Soviet Era airport design. China was just urbanizing - Shanghai was already there. I stayed on the 97th floor of a building. By the time we left, Beijing had built three new airports, China had hosted the Olympics, built express trains, and become more affluent. It dictated our formative careers It was big enough to challenge world order
Make it stand out.
